This Floating in the City events page is happy to include any event to do with boating, narrowboats, barges, yachts, houseboats, punts, rowing boats, canoes, canals, rivers, creeks and waterways happening in London, Britain, or worldwide.

October 23 and 24 - Middlewich's seventh beer festival and narrowboat rally.

Annual UK Boating Events:

August: The Inland Waterways Association’s (IWA) National Festival & Boat Show usually takes place over the bank holiday weekend .

September:  Angel Canal Festival, City Road Basin, Islington, London. A regatta with canoe and sailing displays and boat races, and the chance to visit canal boats. This year there was also live music, food stalls and other entertainment. Free.

September: The  PSP Southampton Boat Show, Portsmouth. This is a massive exhibition of all the latest boats, technology and toys. Mostly for the yachting fraternity but there will be something of interest for almost any boating interested person. Often there are special deals if you buy on the spot.
